To narrate a mythological story in a contemporary way.
The story of the labyrinth and the Minotaur is well known, but in the text of Durrenmatt (1985) it also becomes a psychological drama: the classical plot about the good that wins the evil evolves, becoming a journey inside the Minotaur mind. That Minotaur incarnates the diversity, the excluded, something that someone decided to hide. The text is still contemporary, using the labyrinth as a metaphore of the society, who has always constructed walls, fences, real and imaginary boundaries that serve to contain the fear of the other.
The virtual experience brings the user into the Minotaur’s point of view, exploring both virtual and mythological arts and mental dimension.
In order to develop a contemporary image of the myth, we decided to start from the original ancient Greece iconography, rearranging the illustrations in a minimal and modern style.
